Woof TV HQ

Welcome to a universe where we are all dogs. Yes…you, me, your cat. Ok, maybe not your cat. But everyone else.

Now… What in the world would this world be like. That’s what we intend to find out here at Woof TV.

And no, this page was not made with AI. I am a real person, writing real content, which I suspect is about to become a rarity here in the very near future.

AI DISCLAIMER: I am a commercial artist, and have been for a very long time. This site contains assets produced by AI and manipulated by me. In other words, this is an artist-ai collaboration. Has AI taken away job opportunities for me? Maybe. Has it stolen my art or creativity. No. Will it be the end of humanity as we know it. Yes. 😉

Is the jury still out on AI? Personally, I think the verdict is in. This project for me has been an exploration in the topic, from a creative standpoint…and a moral standpoint.

My conclusion?

The Internet brought about the information age. AI…is bringing about the “disinformation age.” As you can see here, AI is able to mimic real media in ways that are almost indistinguishable from truth. Granted, a lot of photoshopping went into making these designs, the base for much of what was done here, and a lot of the assets used, were AI generated. Same with the music, with even less time in an editor and more time writing prompts to get the right sound and message.

What’s this mean? I think many artists and even people in general have a concern, or even a disdain for the idea that AI can mimic human creativity. I mean, enter a few key phrases and you have a work of art. Tell it what kind of song you want and viola’!

I don’t think though, that this is where the major concern or attention should lie. I think that, besides also taking away tech and creative jobs (people like me are being replaced by ai) a real problem that we are facing with AI is based on creating compelling “truth” from thin air; crafting realities that don’t actually exist, but are passed off as truth. I have “single-handedly” crafted a universe with compelling media that, even though obvious due to the silly context of it all, feels somewhat plausible, right? And this is JUST THE BEGINNING of AI.

With our current rate of advancement in AI, and “general use” AI video about to hit the market in a very big way, who’s to say what’s real? Certainly the facts are easily manufacturable in ways that are quickly becoming indistinguishable from truth.

So dear reader be aware. What poses as truth and amazing fact on your social feed may be real, but the chances of that are becoming slimmer by the day.

There’s been a saying for some time now about the Internet: Don’t believe everything you read online. Today, and from here forward, I think this better translates to “Don’t believe MOST of what you see.”
